About Wet Grass

What it does

Wet Grass runs fantasy pools for real tournaments. A group picks a competition — a World Cup, a Premier League season — and then divides it up, either with a snake draft or a live auction where everyone spends the same imaginary budget. After that the pool scores itself as the real results come in.

The auction is the reason the site exists. Everyone gets one wallet and one board containing both the clubs and the individual players, so buying Arsenal and buying a striker come out of the same money. A lot opens, the room bids against a countdown, and it sells. It is the most fun twenty minutes in fantasy sport and almost nobody builds it properly, so this is an attempt to.

Who makes it

One person, in his spare time, mostly because his own league needed it. It is free, it carries no advertising today, and it has never had a paying customer. There is no company behind it and no plan to sell your data to anybody — the business model is that there is no business model.

Practice without signing up

You can play a full mock draft or auction against AI managers from the home page without creating an account. Nothing is stored and no email is asked for. It is the fastest way to see whether the format is for you.
